Terms & Conditions

Applicable to: all CSIA-related and training programs delivered by Excellence Snowsports.

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions constitute a binding agreement between Excellence Snowsports and all participants. By booking or participating in any program, participants confirm full acceptance of these terms.

2. Booking & Payment

  • Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of full payment
  • All bookings are non-transferable
  • Bookings are valid only for the registered participant
  • Any changes or cancellations must be submitted in writing by the booking holder

3. Eligibility & Participant Responsibility

Participants must be medically and physically fit for alpine activities. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure suitability for participation.

Required:

  • Appropriate ski equipment
  • Protective clothing
  • Valid lift pass

4. Language & Instruction

Programs are delivered in English and/or Chinese with interpretation support where available. Participants must have sufficient language ability to follow instruction safely.

Excellence Snowsports reserves the right to remove participants who cannot safely follow instruction. No refund will be issued.

5. Fees

  • All fees are in Japanese Yen (JPY)
  • Full payment is required prior to course commencement

6. Operational Authority & Force Majeure

Excellence Snowsports may modify, relocate, postpone, shorten, or cancel programs due to:

  • Weather or snow conditions
  • Resort or lift operations
  • Safety requirements
  • Operational constraints
  • Other circumstances beyond control

All safety and operational decisions by staff are final.

If a course is cancelled by Excellence Snowsports:

  • Course fees will be refunded
  • No liability applies for external costs (travel, accommodation, lift passes, equipment)

7. Cancellation Terms

Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • 30 days or more: ¥20,000 administrative fee
  • 15–30 days: 30% of course fee
  • Less than 15 days: 100% of course fee

No refunds after course commencement. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

8. Rescheduling

Rescheduling is permitted within the same season and subject to availability.

  • More than 15 days before start: ¥15,000 fee (if approved)
  • Less than 15 days: treated as cancellation

9. Attendance (No-Show Policy)

Failure to attend at the designated time and location is considered a no-show. No refunds, credits, or rescheduling will be provided.

10. Conduct & Participation Standards

Participants must behave in a safe, respectful, and professional manner. Excellence Snowsports may remove any participant without refund for:

  • Unsafe behaviour
  • Misconduct
  • Failure to follow instruction
  • Inability to meet course requirements

11. Instructor Authority

Course conductors and authorised staff have full authority to:

  • Modify participation
  • Restrict participation
  • Terminate participation

All decisions are final and made in the interest of safety.

12. Safety Equipment

Helmet use is mandatory for all on-snow activities without exception.

13. Course Prerequisites & Progression

  • All prerequisites must be met before enrolment
  • Concurrent enrolment in progressive levels is not permitted

14. CSIA Membership Requirement

Valid CSIA membership must be obtained at least one (1) month prior to course commencement. Failure to comply may result in cancellation with 100% fee forfeiture.

15. Liability & Insurance

Participation in snow sports involves inherent risk. Participants accept full responsibility for these risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Excellence Snowsports accepts no liability for:

  • Injury
  • Loss
  • Damage
  • Delay
  • Operational disruption

Participants are strongly advised to obtain appropriate insurance. Excellence Snowsports is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

16. Media & Recording

Recording, photography, or audio of any course content is strictly prohibited without prior written consent. Unauthorized recording may result in immediate removal without refund.

17. Governing Version

Excellence Snowsports reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest published version applies. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
